GRL India Approved for MFi CarPlay® Testing

MFi Licensees in South Asia Gain Local Access to Reliable CarPlay® Functional and iAP2 Testing Through GRL India

Granite River Labs (GRL), a global leader in engineering services and test automation solutions for digital connectivity, charging technologies, and professional market access services, is pleased to announce that its India facility has been officially approved to perform MFi CarPlay® testing.

The addition of CarPlay® capabilities in India broadens GRL’s worldwide support network, complementing existing operations in GRL Shanghai. With this expansion, MFi Licensees in South Asia and surrounding regions gain a convenient testing location offering consistent processes and reliable guidance throughout development and certification. GRL India now provides:

• CarPlay® Functional (USB) – Validates wired connection behavior and feature operation to help ensure stable CarPlay® performance.
  
  
• CarPlay® Functional (Wireless) – Validates wireless connectivity and functional behavior to support reliable cable-free CarPlay® integration.
  
  
• iAP2 Testing for Auto OEMs (non-CarPlay®) – Supports validation of Apple’s iAP2 protocol for in-vehicle systems that do not implement CarPlay®.

To complement these services, GRL India also provides pre-audit reviews and USB-IF / USB Power Delivery certification services to help manufacturers align their designs with relevant specifications, identify potential issues early, and prepare effectively for Apple’s MFi certification process.
