The GRL internship is a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and exposure to testing, diagnosing and developing automated test solutions to address signal integrity, protocol, and system application-level engineering challenges. . GRL interns have the opportunity to work with the latest multi-gigabit technologies, supporting customers ranging from start-ups to the largest companies around the globe, while being trained and mentored by seasoned experts.
Learning about technologies like Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB at GRL has been a great experience. As an intern, I've enjoyed representing GRL at the DisplayPort Plug Fest and meeting various members of the industry. Working with the Director of Engineering and the CEO at GRL has not only provided me with visibility within the company, but also given me the opportunity to join the team as a Full-time employee in 2013.
My classmates at Santa Clara University told me about GRL, and they had a lot of good things to say about their work. It was wonderful to be exposed to cutting-edge technology and it taught me a great deal about engineering. An internship like this attracted me to the field of electrical engineering - design validation - and helped me achieve my dream job. The senior engineers were very helpful and knowledgeable.
At GRL, I focused on the electrical characterization of multiple high-speed SERDES. My internship experience at GRL laid a strong foundation for my career. The GRL senior engineers helped me understand concepts practically, and I was able to work with multiple customers on the latest technologies.

It has been very exciting to work with the latest technology to test physical layers, protocols, and system interoperability for high-speed serial connectivity. Being able to learn from and contribute to a group of experienced engineers and customers is also rewarding. I am confident that this internship with GRL will help me achieve my professional goals and will equip me with the tools I need to pursue my dream job in the industry.
GRL was where I took the first steps into the working world as an intern, and I have fond and exciting memories of my time there. GRL provided me with a great learning environment that helped me develop my talent. Using the latest laboratory equipment, I was able to work on compliance testing of high speed interfaces. I will forever cherish the fact that all my seniors at GRL took the time to teach me and later handed over responsibilities to me and trusted my work. As a result of GRL, I developed an interest in semiconductor test engineering, which led to a full-time job upon graduation.
