Enabling MFi Licensees in Asia and the Americas with Trusted CarPlay® Functional Test Services
Granite River Labs (GRL), a global leader in engineering services and test automation solutions for digital connectivity, charging technologies, and professional market access services, is proud to announce that its Shanghai laboratory has been officially approved to support MFi CarPlay® testing.
This milestone extends GRL’s global CarPlay® testing footprint alongside its Silicon Valley facility, enabling MFi Licensees across Asia and the Americas to access consistent, high-quality support throughout the product development and certification process. At our Shanghai lab, GRL now offers:
- CarPlay Functional (USB) – Validates wired connection integrity and feature performance to help ensure stable and seamless CarPlay® integration.
- CarPlay Functional (Wireless) – Validates wireless interface functionality, supporting the increasing demand for cable-free infotainment experiences in vehicles.
These test services help MFi Licensees validate accessory performance and compatibility with Apple’s ecosystem by supporting reliable product behavior and positive end-user experiences. In addition, GRL also provides pre-audit and advisory services to help developers address potential issues early in the design cycle, reducing development risk and improving readiness for official MFi certification.
To further support manufacturers in implementing CarPlay® USB interfaces, GRL provides USB-IF and USB-PD certification services to ensure hardware compatibility with Apple CarPlay specifications.
