Malaysia Market Access

In accordance with the Electrical Supply Act 1990 and the Electrical Regulation 1994, manufacturers must obtain a Certificate of Approval (COA) and affix a SIRIM Label to their products. Wireless and fixed line telecommunications products require type approval. The designated CB is SIRIM QAS International. It is mandatory to label products with self-labeling. Where applicable, EMC compliance is required for the above.

Regulated products such as electrical appliances, communications and multimedia equipment
Planned inspection and re-tests conducted to monitor continuing compliance
Can be obtained based on National and international standards
