GRL Presents High-Speed Testing Expertise at 2025 Consumer Electronics Interface Technology Forum

The event featured industry leaders from the HDMI Association, Avant Group, Rohde & Schwarz, Yuedong Electronics, Siyi Technology and Huizhou Desheng Wire to discuss the next generation of interface testing technology and innovative directions for high-speed cables.

Granite River Labs (“GRL”), a global leader in test and certification services and automated test solutions for digital connectivity and charging technologies, and professional market access services, participated in the 2025 Consumer Electronics Interface Technology Forum held at the Hanlin Hotel Conference Center in Dongguan. Organized by the Cable Community (线缆朋友圈), the event saw leading industry experts and technology suppliers address the evolving demands of consumer electronics interfaces in the high-frequency, high-speed era.

Representing GRL, Cablecon expert and test engineer Mr. Ning Jiang delivered a keynote speech titled "Latest High-speed Cable and Connector Test Updates", offering insights into the latest challenges posed by increasing signal speeds and the growing complexity of next-generation interfaces such as USB4®, DisplayPort, and HDMI® 2.1a. GRL experts also expounded on preliminary technical information regarding the highly anticipated HDMI 2.2.

"As consumer electronics push bandwidth boundaries, our role at GRL has never been more critical," said Ning Jiang. "Through precise, scalable test solutions, we can bridge the gap between new specifications and real-world deployment to ensure robust signal integrity and mechanical reliability across cables and connectors."

GRL’s participation in the forum reinforced our commitment to supporting the consumer electronics supply chain in advancing high-performance interconnects. Through close collaborations with industry partners, silicon vendors, and OEMs, GRL continues to develop test methodologies and validation programs for key high-speed standards, including USB4®, HDMI®, and DisplayPort™. With expertise in signal integrity testing, compliance validation, and automated test solutions, manufacturers can continue enjoying high performance, reliability, and accelerated time-to-market with GRL.
