Granite River Labs Approved as First Thunderbolt™ 3 Product Certification Test Center

Granite River Labs (GRL), a global leader in engineering services and test solutions for high speed connectivity, announced today that they have been qualified by Intel® Corporation to perform Thunderbolt™ product electrical certification testing for Thunderbolt 3 hosts. GRL is the first test center authorized to test Thunderbolt 3 host products to ensure that they meet the Thunderbolt 3 electrical test specifications. GRL currently provides Thunderbolt product certification testing at its Taipei, Taiwan facility.

Thunderbolt 3 in the only technology that supports 40 Gbps connections, dual 4K 60Hz displays, up to 100W of power, and multi-protocol support over a single USB Type-C® connector. With Thunderbolt 3, you can connect any dock, device, or display including those that support the latest USB 3.1 10Gbps technology. Only products that have passed official certification testing are authorized to use the Thunderbolt name, logo, and connector icon.
