To ensure consumer safety, quality, and suitability, local regulations and compliance requirements are put in place. According to ICES standards, certain products require certification or manufacturers' declarations.

Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) certification mark

  • Requirements: Safety, Mandatory
  • NRTL Certification: selected products or equipment to be approved by NRTLs, including:
    • Electrical products and equipment
  • Factory Inspection: initial and follow up inspections are required and need to be performed by the inspection body of the NRTL who is issuing the NRTL approval
